About us
We regulate and monitor face-to-face fundraising in New Zealand.
The PFRA was created by charities to raise professional and regulatory standards. We work closely with local councils throughout New Zealand to co-ordinate face-to-face fundraising.
This model has been successfully adopted in other countries around the world such as the UK and Australia.
The PFRA is a not-for-profit Incorporated Society of charity members and supplier agencies that conduct face-to-face fundraising in New Zealand. We work closely with the Fundraising Institute of New Zealand (FINZ), local councils, business associations and the government.
Face-to-face fundraising started over 20 years ago in New Zealand. Previously many charities had been reliant on one-off donations.
Your regular donations allow charities to carry out vital services for local communities across New Zealand and the world while working to solve some of the greatest social, environmental, and global issues. Your commitment makes a big difference.
Face-to-face fundraising allows some of the most important work in New Zealand and the world to be done. It facilitates funds to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of millions of people, animals and the environment worldwide.
Last year $61 million was donated to our member charities via a regular face-to-face donation. gift.
